So we were all geared up to release our second song, but... this week.

Except "this week" is only a week to those of us who haven't had to struggle with racial discrimination every day of our lives - those of us who haven't been hyper aware of being a target because of the colour of our skin. Those of us who haven't had every aspect of our society designed to keep us at a disadvantage.

And seeing and hearing the outcry, the righteous anger and the demand for change, equality and recognition from our black and POC friends, neighbours and family- telling us vividly that the thing we hear about sometimes is their reality EVERY. SECOND. Suddenly, putting out that up-tempo pop song we were so proud of seemed distasteful.

To be clear, this EP is NOT about this week, or that reality. We have lived with privilege our whole lives and that is NOT our story to tell. But we do create, and when we do, the feelings of sadness, anger and hope we've been feeling are going to permeate the results on some level. And for that reason, it felt more respectful and authentic to release these sketches.

All proceeds from this EP forever and ongoing will be donated to organizations fighting for racial equality (and please feel free to make suggestions of any organizations for future donations).
